 We recommend using Microsoft Access to create desktop databases. Access is part of the Microsoft Office Suite. If you are full-time faculty or staff, Microsoft Office is available at no cost for office or home use under UMCP's Enterprise Office Agreement. |

 What are some guidelines for purchasing a new computer or computer equipment? This site is intended to give you some option in a way. Currently, we are recommending Dell computers. They are reliable, cost competitive and they offer up to a 3 year warranty. In addition, University of Maryland has special contracts with Dell, Apple, Sprint/Nextel, AT&T Mobility, Verizonand, and some other tech equipment companies that the employees could receive discounted benefits. more... |
